What a wonderful place - to be recommended!
A party of six of us enjoyed a week of utter luxury at An Linnean during the 2009 Feis Ile. Having enjoyed fine hospitality, fine whiskies, and fine food throughout the week, An Linnean is a fitting base for a superb holiday.
An Linnean feels like a natural extension to Islay's exceptional hospitality, where everything from the welcoming basket of treats to the warm bubbling hot tub made settling easy.
As well as fitting in to the island's hospitality, An Linnean exploits some of the finest views on the island. From glorious sunsets over the back of the house to sweeping sea views from the front, An Linnean offers a view of Islay at its best.
Who wouldn't enjoy a glass of champagne in the outdoor hot tub overlooking a glorious sea view within ten minutes of arriving!

An Linnean was for us, a group of friends from Italy a wonderful surprise. Incredibly nicer in reality that in the gorgeous photos on the An Linnean website. Lucy kindness, perceived from the first contacts by email, manifested fully in the warm welcoming atmosphere of the house prepared for us on the day of our arrival. We had a marvelous time at An Linnean, we all miss the days spent there, but mostly we hope to come back next year, Cara Lucy grazie mille, un abbraccio dall'Italia!!!!

The house is situated on a 600-acre farm and is a newly constructed single-storey home based on a traditional Scottish longhouse. It has been built at the top of the farm to offer unrivalled views of the farm and out to Loch Indaal, and is surrounded by spectacular fields and forestry, affording privacy and seclusion.
