Persabus Farm Cottages

Persabus Farm Cottages Port AskaigPersabus Cottage is a sixteenth century traditional farmhouse, the Millhouse formed part of the original steadings on the farm. Both properties have been recently renovated to a very high standard.

Persabus Cottage has a lounge with a traditional open fireplace,a small study and downstairs toilet. The large kitchen has patio doors onto a private garden and there is a utility room off the kitchen, with plenty of room for drying wet clothing, walking boots etc. During the winter months the oil fired Raeburn is lit to toast your toes on after a day walking. The cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished, while a traditional oak staircase has a built in gate for the safety of younger visitors.Children and pets are welcome, however, we would remind you that the cottage is situated on a sheep farm and would ask that you keep any dogs under a degree of control.

Outside the cottages there is ample parking space off the quiet single track road leading to the village of Bunnahabhain and the distillery, one of eight on the island. There is also a pottery on the farm where the Fletcher brothers produce some of the finest handcrafted pottery in the Scotttish Highlands. During the season there is always a fresh pot of coffee brewing in the pottery showroom and a range of home baking available. In the summer months children can enjoy feeding the hens in our hedgerows and fresh eggs can be purchased from the farmhouse.
