Persabus Cottage is a sixteenth century traditional farmhouse, the Millhouse formed part of the original steadings on the farm. Both properties have been recently renovated to a very high standard.

The Millhouse, Tayvullin as it is translates into Gaelic, has a more modern feel, with a large, light, airy kitchen, complete with dining table and chairs, and a large lounge with a coal effect stove. The cottage has its own distinctive style, with many of the items in the kitchen handmade in Persabus Pottery, it is decorated throughout with original watercolours of Islay and Jura. Both farmhouse kitchens are fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. All linen is provided but guests are requested to bring their own towels.

Outside the cottages there is ample parking space off the quiet single track road leading to the village of Bunnahabhain and the distillery, one of eight on the island. There is also a pottery on the farm where the Fletcher brothers produce some of the finest handcrafted pottery in the Scotttish Highlands. During the season there is always a fresh pot of coffee brewing in the pottery showroom and a range of home baking available. In the summer months children can enjoy feeding the hens in our hedgerows and fresh eggs can be purchased from the farmhouse.
