Gorm Ile Self Catering is situated in Port Ellen (2 minutes walk to the beach!) and close to all transport links on Islay (both local and mainland).

The property, new on the market since 2011, is also ideally located for visiting many local attractions - distilleries ( personal guide of Laphroaig can be arranged!), The Machrie golf course, playing fields (tennis, bowling, pitch and putt), bike hire, sea & loch fishing, pony trekking, RSPB Reserve at The Oa (Golden Eagles, Choughs, Geese), numerous secluded beaches - and all within a 4/5 mile radius of house.

There are also many other attractions on Islay including RSPB Reserve at Gruinart, Home of ‘Lord of the Isles’ at Finlaggan, MORE distilleries(!), Islay Crafts in Bridgend, many more beaches, etc. There are also many annual events throughout the year not least of all The Whisky Festival (Feis Ile).

The Property has 2 bedrooms - 1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds (a spare mattress & bedding is also available if requested) with all bed linen and towels supplied.

The kitchen/dining area has been recently renovated and is fitted with WM. Microwave, Oven & Hob, Fridge, Freezer and all necessary kitchen & cooking utensils. The Living room has Digital TV, DVD player, Hi Fi system, selection of books and has an open fire which can be used if required. There is a folding wheelchair at the property which could be used by visitors if required.

Gorm Ile is a very comfortable place to stay while you enjoy the slightly slower pace of life on Islay!

Bookings
Bookings are made from Saturday to Saturday with arrival time of 3.30pm (alternative times can be arranged prior to arrival) and departures from Property by 9.30am.
