Hawthorn Cottage is a semi-detached one-bedroom cottage situated in the quiet village of Keills on the north end of Islay and is just one mile from the ferry port of Port Askaig. The cottage has been recently renovated inside and out and features a spacious living room, bedroom, good sized kitchen, shower room (with shaver point) and large storage cupboard. It has a new fitted kitchen. The oil-fired central heating, along with the cost of the electricity, is included in the letting price. Satellite TV, a video/DVD player and radio are included in the furnishings.

The large sheltered garden features an extensive range of trees, shrubs and plants. There is also a greenhouse with a varied collection of fuchsias and begonias. There are outstanding views down the Sound of Islay to the neighbouring Island of Jura, the Island of Gigha and across to the Mull of Kintyre.
