It is a family run establishment, having been in the MacLellan family for over 100 years. The hotel boasts an impressive collection of rare and unusual Islay whiskies which can be viewed from the public bar. In the pub there are roaring peat fires and local musicians regularly entertain the guests with traditional Scottish music, attracting a merry audience. The hotel comprises 8 letting rooms and an attractive restaurant which offers excellent homemade meals using Islay produce. Children are actively welcomed to the hotel with a good value kid's menu and walled play area for their enjoyment. The owners, Iain and Katie have four children of their own and make every effort to promote a fun, family atmosphere to enable you to get the most out of your holiday on Islay.

The Restaurant is a comfortable, warm and friendly restaurant situated at the Lochindaal Hotel, Islay, offering good food which is excellent value for money. The restaurant has easy chairs and sofa surrounding a real fire where you may enjoy an aperitif or after dinner coffee or brandy. There is a private bar and friendly waitress service. There is a comprehensive wine list designed to suit every palate and a huge variety of Islay whiskies, some used in cooking.
