I stayed at Tigh Na Suil from 1st to 4th May 2009 along with my friends Alex Fleming and John Beattie. We shared a triple room and from the moment we arrived we were made most welcome by Dot and Don.They provided us with a comfortable, clean, spacious room that was perfectly adequate for 3 grown men.Our full scottish breakfasts (preceded by a choice of cereals and muesli) were excellent.Don and Dot have extensive local knowledge which enabled us to explore the island and see what we wanted to see.I could not fault the service they provided and was most grateful for all of the extra little things that they did.Arriving back soaking wet from a drenching on the highest hill on the island Dot was only too happy to help get my boots and kit dried off. I would not hesitate to stay at their well located B and B again (100m approx. from the Lagavulin distillery..and less than half a mile from Laphroaig and Ardbeg. The accomodation and service was faultless!

My dad and I have just returned from a lovely 3 day break on Islay, staying with the absolutely fabulous Don and Dot of 'Tigh-Na-Suil' in Lagavulin. This bed and breakfast, situated virtually next door to the Lagavulin distillery, is warm, welcoming and very comfortable. Dot and Don are the perfect hosts and gave us brilliant guidance to making the most our stay on the island -There is not much they don't know about Islay!!The breakfast was delicious and the B and B is well situated, being a stone's throw from no less than 3 distilleries! We really enjoyed our 2 nights here and wouldn't hesitate booking again.
